I have never missed a single meter due to injury.
The only time I got a rib injury was trying Paul Smith's bad technique, quickly learned that he's full of shit, got over the injury and kept rowing.
Since then I have rowed 1 million meters in 19 days, 465 kilometers in a week, and 110 kilometers in a day.

Paul Smith has no "bad" technique.
Got Milk? It does a body good John, perhaps if you drank a bit you wouldn't have to drive to Mexico to get Dental work done.
Exactly how far up your arse, do you have to have your head, to see schitt the way you do?
Erg on,

Sean,
Thanks for the reminder, it's been a tough week, and I was weak.
Bob,
Sincere apologies for insulting the breed with my casual association, made only due to lyrical convenience.
I Officially withdraw "Yappie Yorkie" and put forth "Pontificating Paramecium", at least the number of brain cells will be congruent.

Try rowing strapless. It can self-correct some typical beginner mistakes. Start slowly and with a short stroke unitl you get accustomed to the feel.laupi wrote:I am confused now - can you hlp me if your stroke is okay for us to keep it for excersise. Keep the back straight. Bending the back puts it at a weaker position at the catch and increases the chance of a sore back or worse. Make the first motion at the catch a push with the legs rather than a tug with the arms & back. Relax on the recovery and don't rush it by pulling yourself back with the straps (strapless rowing is great for avoiding this).
Since I have John Rupp on ignore I can't say for sure that your confusion arises from him, but this seems to be a typical pattern of his involvement. He aims insults at his perceived enemies, but ends up damaging innocent bystanders who don't know the history here. He's worse than useless to this forum. You might consider putting him on ignore yourself if you wish to keep confusion to a minimum.

Yankeerunner continually stretches his bad achilles and, as a result, is no longer able to run.
Is that someone you want to give you advice about rowing or anything else.
I think not.

If you are the same Laupi who posted on the previous U.S. forum, this message must be intended as a joke, since that Laupi was hardly a beginner. He also used to post messages that were a bit tongue in cheek, as I suspect that this one is. This is not intended as a complaint, since I have been guilty of the same thing on occasion - just an observation.
