There is a step test to predict 2k pace in section 12 of the training guide on the UK site.

I did it last night, and it suggests I could go under 1.50/500 for the 2k. The 2k I did in late July was 1.53/500 (7.32)

I know I can go faster than I did, but I'm not sure about a 3 sec/500 improvement.

We'll see.

Tom maybe we will be looking at an 8 sec improvement in 6 months :D I actually think your doing dam fine either way in that it is a balanced approach between performance and pleasure, something that others often forget.
