If my best 2k ever is 6:55 what is a genereal number that I should aim for on a 6k test.
500: 1:35
1000: 3:21
1500: 5:08
2000: 6:54
10,000: 41:50

16 Years Old
180 Pounds

Hi 7seat,

We make an interesting comparison. I'm a lot older and little taller and heavier. Our short distance times are close but your 10K time is significantly slower than mine. Hard to predict between different individuals.

And our times are close (6:55 vs 6:54). Your 10k time is also slower than mine (never did one, but did 40min and did ~40100) so for your first one I'd go out at like a 1:58 or so. It also depends on what your pace is for the 6k (mine was 28, but not for the first one).

A Danish rowing physiologist has suggested the 6k should be 85% of 2k watts.

So if you row 6.56/311 watts, your 6k should be 264watts (1.50/500), resulting in a 22.00 min 6k.

So FrankJ shows excellent endurance--a little quicker on the 2k Frank--and jbell shows considerable power relative to endurance--work on the aerobic capacity lad.

Yea, I know. My endurence isnt what it should be. I'd like to be under 22min by the end of the fall. I've been working out a bit, so hopefully I can pull it off.
