i forgot how to find out my power to weight ratio...so can somebody please do it for me? lol

Both 4.4 W/kg. Well done.

R (in W/kg) = 2.8 x (2000/2k time in seconds)^3 / (pounds/2.2).
08-1940, 183cm, 83kg.
2024: stroke 5.5W-min@20-21. ½k 190W, 1k 145W, 2k 120W. Using Wods 4-5days/week. Fading fast.

Thanks for the formula. :D

Just to clarify the notations for those using spreadsheets or math challenged like me (brackets used to set off groups):

[2.8 * [(2000/2k time in seconds)^3]] / (wts in pounds/2.2).

Math Steps: a) 2k time in seconds ( 7 * 60 + 33) = 453
b) 2000/453 = 4.41501
c) 4.41501 cubed = 86.05882
d) 86.05882 * 2.8 = 240.96469
e) 120/2.2 = 54.54546
f) 240.96469 / 54.54546 = 4.41769
A note: even though in the example the rounded step b) and the rounded final answer ar similar, this does not hold true in all cases.

My W/Kg ratio is a long way from 4.4... better get erging instead of typing. :lol:

Kindly calculating my ratio is 5 (355w done a few days after weighing in at 71kg for the lwt 1x at the swedish nationals). Hooray, it must be a magic level of fitness.

...and the relevance to rowingspeed is also very "magic"...as in not real :P

The P/W has no direct correspondence to rowing performance and therefore a high value is not "good" in a rowing situation. It's almost as strange measurement in this area as foot size or similar. Big feet will probably correlate just as well with rowing speed.

There is no direct correlation with physiological fitness either. At the extreme low end, however, you can use it as a sign of bad health. If your value is around 2 or below, you should pay attention to this number and start getting a healthier life.
