Hardest thing you've ever done?
I'm making this topic for everyone to share the most difficult workout they've ever done on the erg.
For me, its 8x2min r40 1 minute active rest.

10x1500m with 1min rest @ 10k pace was quite hard. Any all out 2k, 5k, 30mins, 10k, 60mins, HM etc PB attempt is pretty hard asswell.
I much prefer plodding along @ 20spm

I would have to agree that a 2K test is the most brutal. I have failed 2 out of 4 that I have attempted since starting to erg. Blowing up at 1500M is the most pain/discomfort I have experienced in any sporting event. Oh, except for the Pikes Peak Marathon.

By order of extenuation:
- Dressing up my 3 kids in the morning (or trying to get them dressed up by their own)
- Last year's erg marathon, can't remember how I returned home.
- 6 min Erg test with te "Ginseng"-monster
(or whatever it was called)
- On one of my first 10 k running races I got confused and thought the "1km toARRIVAL" gate was the arrival, and sprinted accordingly
, the last 1000 m were deadly!
- 8*500 on the stroke of a coxless four

You asked about workouts and that wouldn't include racing or time trials, right?Adrenaline wrote:I'm making this topic for everyone to share the most difficult workout they've ever done on the erg.
My hardest workout is a 2k, 2x1k, 4x500m done with 2 minute active rest between each interval.
