4x1250m pacing

Post by Erger2222 » January 29th, 2025, 6:15 pm

with 5' rest, how should this compare to 2k pace? I went a 1:43.2/500m (6:53) on my last 2k

Just a guess, but I'd suggest 1:45/6...

I agree with Mike. Start at low 1:46s and see where you are for the last interval.
51 HWT; 6' 4"; 1k= 3:09; 2k= 6:36; 5k= 17:19; 6k= 20:47; 10k= 35:46 30mins= 8,488m 60mins= 16,618m HM= 1:16.47; FM= 2:40:41; 50k= 3:16:09; 100k= 7:52:44; 12hrs = 153km

IMO, you need to retest your 2k.

I used 4 x 1250 r4' as pacer for my 2.5k and it was 1-1.5S slower than 2k, so doable but at the limit and too fast for regular training IMO.
56, lightweight in pace and by gravity. Currently training 3-4 times a week after a break to slowly regain the pitiful fitness I achieved a few years ago. Free Spirit, come join us http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/

I agree that it is too fast, I won't be doing that again.

4x1250m, 4r, at 2k+4s if your 2k is up to date and you race the 2k properly.
