Crikey, you beasted it. Congratulations. How did it feel?
I did it without any taper… my goal was sub 2:45 so I got it.
It was hard, need to change damper setting after 1st half (6 to 5), consumed 1,5 liter bag with 3 Maurten 320 mix in it.
Now I’m tired but no pain, fortunately.

Thanks to all!

Well done on Sub-7, maintaining the pace at the same rating for the last 2 intervals on target is impressive. You may find that you can gain a few seconds by upping the rating when it gets tough, both a little in the "Deadzone" of the 3rd 500 and again in the last 2-300 for a mad last thrash, you might even get close to a 6:50!
56, lightweight in pace and by gravity. Currently training 3-4 times a week after a break to slowly regain the pitiful fitness I achieved a few years ago. Free Spirit, come join us http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/

You've clearly got a very good engine, but it's still not easy to convert that into a sub 7 row.

With 2 months of rowing, I think it will be piece of cake for him, no ? I mean, he has a 6:48 2K SkiErg PB

Nothing is guaranteed, but yeah, I'd not be surprised to see a sub 6:30 2k within six months

Rocking horse poo moment for me to post in this thread (!)

I cleaned/oiled my erg today as I'd noticed the DF had started to drop slightly on my usual damper setting. Afterwards I wanted to check the "new" max DF which I was disappointed to find is only 204. Nevertheless - in my erg cleaning clothes and carpet slippers I strapped in for a 100m to see how the DF felt. No warm up - just dialled it in and set off. Came in at 15.9. In fact I've previously seen that time on the PM but its always been rounded up to 16.0 in the log, but not this time - Yay! Daft how these things happen.

Well well well. No prep, no warm up, no expectations and you've smash out a great PB. Very happy for you Mike.
