I've spent virtually all of 2024 wishing for better weather. I then spent 86 mins wishing for the weather of virtually every other day of 2024. Too hot for my liking.
lol
I absolutely get this, same over here. Weather this year was really bad, rainy, cold, not stable at all.
Recent days were nice and we could go training outside, but then it's too hot
For rowing it doesn't affect me heavily, as in the basement temperature does not raise too much, probably 20°C, but it gets humid. The fan helps much, too, but I need to use level 2 or 3 instead of 1 like in the winter.

60min harder steady state.
Was supposed to be <=2:00 again, but it felt so good and I powered slightly a bit more.
After halfway I felt even better and ramped up a bit more towards the end without increasing heart rate to much.

Looks like the old thread is broken so started a new one.

Somebody ranked a 30min session which pushed me down to 2nd. So the target was to get back the top spot which needed to be >1.54.9

Quite warm in the south facing room I have the erg in. Didn't fancy a long slog of a session so thought I'd do a 6k.

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M
22:47.1 6,000m 1:53.9 237 1114 25 148
3:55.3 1,000m 1:57.6 215 1039 25 132
3:48.0 2,000m 1:54.0 236 1113 25 144
3:47.7 3,000m 1:53.8 237 1116 26 148
3:47.3 4,000m 1:53.6 238 1120 26 153
3:46.9 5,000m 1:53.4 240 1124 26 154
3:42.0 6,000m 1:51.0 256 1180 27 157

This doesn't tell the whole story though, I set off at 1.52 r27 which felt OK but by 700 Mt's in HR was at 146 so nearly binned it off but set off again at 1.54 r25/26 which was much more comfortable. Still ranks at 3 though so not too bad.

Was absolutely wiped out with a cold last weekend before four day shifts, which threw my week out.

5k work run on Monday, 24 mins. Was hard on the legs and my breathing, still getting over the cold and I hadn't ran in months. But the sun was out and I enjoyed it.

Strength work Tuesday and Wednesday, inc kettlebell work to get the heart rate up.

Just got in from a cycle, a hilly one hour loop out my front door. Average speed was the right side of 17mph for a change which absolutely wasn't assisted by the weather! I'm going to attribute it to a lot of my erg'ing being round about an hour

Good few days off work now where I plan to pick up where I left off with the Pete Plan.

It’s been a week. Traveled Sunday for a work assignment all week; getting ready to head back home in the morning.

No erg access this week but will be back on it starting tomorrow.

The good news is I was able to train every day while I was away. It was very repetitive and monotonous but I got a lot of quality work in.

Every session was the same - rounds of 5 Pull-ups, 10 Push-ups, and 10 Walking Lunges (per leg). All at body weight.

Sunday (pm): 60:00, 30 rounds.

Monday (am): 50:00, 25 rounds.

Tuesday (am): 60:00, 36 rounds.

Wednesday (pm): 50:00, 25 rounds.

Thursday (am): 60:00, 30 rounds.

Friday (am): 60:00, 40 rounds.

Friday (pm): 50:00, 25 rounds.

Early in the week I thought it would be cool to try and push the pace at least one session to try and get 20 rounds in 30:00 or 40 rounds in 60:00; got it done today.

By my math, I knocked out 1,055 pull ups, 2,110 push ups, and 4,220 lunges this week.

Once HR got up after the first few rounds, aside from day one, I pretty well stayed in Z1/Z2 the entire time so aside from getting my timing back on the machine, I doubt there’s any change in fitness.

Hi and welcome,

Now you posted this in 3 different threads at least. I understand you want feedback to this, but posting in different threads, nobody answering knows what was already answered. This is no good practice in a forum :)
Obviously you have some potential, but progress is depending on so much (unknown) variables, nobody can say what happens in three years. Sufficient training, nutrition, sleep is important.

Bad day.

I did 3 x 1k 1r as a warm up, which felt alright but only just, then it was going to be the 6k CTC.

The wheels came off early (1k) as I just didn't have the willpower to dig in, probably because of a notably stressful week at work that has left me hollowed out. I'll regroup today and attack again, maybe tomorrow.

It was always a big gamble, but I do like to roll the dice and see what happens, as these days can quickly change into something unexpectedly good.

NB, no matter how my week has gone, at least I'm not the person who signed off on the IT update at Crowdstrike.
