Don't know about CO2 level impacts, but breathing rate is largely regulated by CO2 levels of air breathed, so it may well make you breathe harder than required (watched experiment where CO2 removed from air rebreathed, subject just passes out as Oxygen used up!). I have noticed that humidity increase is also very noticeable on longer rows without windows open. In a large room (150sqft?) with door and windows closed after an hour I have water pools at base of windows where the condensation has dripped. Definitely has an impact on performance!

This might be of interest, but I bought a machine that removes humidity (typed like this to get around the spam filter) from Amazon (about £120) a few months ago and it's well worth it. It has drawn out many litres of moisture, and humidity (so far) hasn't topped 75%, when I have seen 99% on occasions

This is quite interesting i dont monitor CO2 but do monitor humidity.

We have an unheated gym which is c.128m2 x 3m high, my wife's hot tub sits ate one end, and of course when she uses it (which is often) steam gets into the room (she always opens some doors and a window or two, but humidity rises for a period of time and is measured via an inline humidity sensor working with ah MVHR system.

When i work out in the gym, typically for anywhere between 60 - 90mins currently i noticed condensation on the inside of the windows despite the MVHR unit ticking over all the time (until the humidity rises and then it kicks in at a fair rate).

I dont usually bother to open windows, do use a floor fan I use when on the erg or treadmill, may open a window or two in the future.
Age 61, on 2/01/22 I rowed 115,972m 11hrs 17m 57s and raised £19k for https://www.havenshospices.org.uk/ Thanks for all the support
