Hello, everyone,
I got a concept 2 about a year ago. It's always been a tool to supplement my workouts, I've never considered myself an exclusive rower, but the past month or so, I've been getting more serious about it. I'm hoping some of you with more experience would be willing to give me some tips on form! So far, my PBs are: 2k = 7:11, 5k =19:28, 30 mins= 7,578m. I'm only 5'9" 170-ish lbs, which as I understand isn't helping me, but I"m hoping to overcome that. Thanks in advance!

Newbie technique video
Re: Newbie technique video
It's easier to assess form if the video is taken from the side, but it looks like your sequencing is wrong. You're aiming for legs-back-arms on the drive, and while some blurring of the lines is fine, you appear to be doing back-legs-arms.

Re: Newbie technique video
Yes I would agree with PaulH and I believe that early back swing is leading to arms “breaking or grabbing” early in the sequence as well.

I would also agree to early back swing and bent arms. Also agree that video from the side is better.
I'm in the same boat, ~77-78kg, 177cm. Your PBs show that you are able to pull strong for a certain time (=7:11 2k which is not way off from gold standard sub7 2k), but then obviously get a breakdown as 5k and 30min are much slower compared to the 2k with a typical offset of ~+4-5s/split double the distance.
Working on cv system would help for that - you can pull strong longer

Your results speak for themselves.
Hard to see, but the slightly uncomfortable catch posture suggests your feet may be too high.
Your rate was about 30, which suggests a time trial. At lower training rates suggest you use the legs for the catch. The foot height can help here.
