Not sure who will read it, but what I am really missing is a video on youtube from some team's go pro 30 min at a steady state (e.g. spm 22-25).
There are plenty of races looking at the painful face of stroke from cox seat during races, particularly world championships or Oxford bumps. But for me, for training on the erg I would love to just imagine I am sitting in a boat, doing my thing, following the guy/girl in front of me, keeping to the rhythm and thats it.
30 min, no matter the eventual distance, just "dozing of into the trance" and keep at it but staring at a large TV screen rather than the dismal numbers of the old PM3 counting down.
Has anybody seen such a video ? Ideally with a reasonably nice river (Isis, Cam, Neckar near Heidelberg, Rhine near Loreley, London Thames but at a stroke rate different to the Oxford/Cambridge race...). Cursing, man grunts or whatever allowed, just rate staying consistent.
No offense against all the training sessions of dark horse, but currently being somewhat chubby I rather not watch all day at Dark horse"s trained upper body not breaking a sweat no matter the rate and intensity, it is somewhat depressing.

Try this one. Just have it on repeat, it is on the sea, there are plenty of man grunts, curses and other sound effects.
The stroke rate is slower than Oxford/Cambs etc. Brilliant rhythm beat to keep in time with.
The power 50 is great at 2.41 for about 1 min 10.
They all break a sweat as well!
Have it on a screen in front of you and Bluetooth ear pods and you are set!

I love Ben Hur, one of the greatest films ever made (I still have a VHS lying around, ...) . And yes, quite a motivational setup.
Alas, not quite the thing for a 30 min piece
