Hi
Im on same question.
I been rowing for like a year and some days i don't want row or i don't have plenty of time to row all i can row. I was thinking about a complement, for the upper body. Rower works so many muscles, but not torso. I know i can do pushups, but i don't really do them, i tried so many times to start doing rowing + pushups, but never did more than a couple of days.
Can be a ski erg a good way to shape my upper body? Mostly arms and torso.
Thanks
Just rowing? Or other cardio also?

Re: Just rowing? Or other cardio also?
I have a c2 rower, Sportsart elliptical, treadmill, and do lots of road cycling.
Mainly road bike but once it gets chilly I switch to inside exercise.
I get bored doing just one type of exercise inside.
The elliptical is great for cardio.
I also ride rollers inside with one of my bikes. Least boring of inside exercises for me.
I use the treadmill on recovery days for walking and it helps to loosen up the back.

From what I've read the ski-erg is more upper-body focused than the rower, where the legs provide (or should provide, if you're doing it properly) the bulk of the work.
