@ Chris, thanks for link very interesting.
@ Minimoof, how long? too long. My 1st million was 2006. October 2018 i reached 11M..If i'm on the Pete Plan i cover less distance. I do more distance ie 1/2 Marathons 3 x weekly with 10-15ks on in-between days. My off season if you will. Cheers.

I'm not sure what is more impressive; the end result or the increase in PB. Both are excellent, and very enviableAndrew Shuck wrote: ↑June 2nd, 2019, 5:41 amWhoops forgot to add New P.B. this morning.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
It is with some trepidation, and in the spirit of encouraging posts from other newbies who aren't rowing amazingly quick times like everyone I see on this thread seems to be doing (I'm very impressed BTW), I decided make my first post in this thread.
Today for some reason I decided to set the rower to 10K and off I went. Definitely a PB as I've never tried rowing that far before! Was elated to break 50 minutes, even if my time included my warm up and I lost some time wiping sweat off my glasses so I could see
Time Dist Pace s/m
49:45.0 10,000 2:29.2 21
10:04.2 2,000 2:31.0 20

9:47.6 6,000 2:26.9 22
10:26.0 8,000 2:36.5 21 (this is when I had to wipe the sweat of my glasses!)
9:37.9 10,000 2:24.4 22
Oh, and I've got pretty compromised right knee/quad function, so it will be interesting to see how far I can improve with only one kneecap!!

Deb, use a towelling headband and get a fan if you haven't one already. You may look a little 80s but you'll be faster, so hey, who cares? ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

The fact that you have rowed 10k already puts you in an elite club! Great work and good time as well. I have no doubt, given your splits, that you can go faster if you want to try it again.djcc63 wrote: ↑June 2nd, 2019, 7:48 amIt is with some trepidation, and in the spirit of encouraging posts from other newbies who aren't rowing amazingly quick times like everyone I see on this thread seems to be doing (I'm very impressed BTW), I decided make my first post in this thread.

I find the elapsed time somewhat reassuring. I got the impression somehow (probably because all your pbs are this year) that you'd sort of Pete Reeded your way into rowing recently!

@ Lindsay,Stu,,Ant and Paul, thanks for all your replies.
@ Max, workouts on the erg were very sporadic until i bought my own model d pm5 a few years ago..
As for structured training, I've done 3-4 rounds of the P plan, I can't really remember exactly. I normally follow the PP until i can't bare it.Then do a lot of distance and repeat.
