Thanks lads! Off for my next trip to Asia so this was a nice round off. Easier week this week and back in it after that. Next stop is indeed that elusive 8k 30'!

Could be, just emailed c2, don,t know how this works exactly.

Thx, do expect you to do well soon also. Records in the 40 plus are already very strong though.
Will try to build my fitness a bit further, won,t be easy but its slowly picking up atm.

Congrats Henry, not bad for an old guy with a bad back!! That's pretty awesome!

Are you finding the SkiErg easier on your back (or helping rehab it)?

Cheers, if some other old geezer would do so, I would say the same, not for myself ofcourse

Skier gives my back zero trouble, its more the shoulders that have to work hard. It does work the trunk a good bit, don,t do ab work at all atm, but have solid abs.
For the rest I row/ski 50/50 and do more or less zero speedwork. That in itself gives my back sone rest. Not thats its painfree, but nothing major atm.

Well done Henry and Rob, 2 great PBs!

New 30r20 PB today!

30:00.0 7765m @1:55.9 r20
06:00.0 1539m @1:56.9 r20
12:00.0 1538m @1:57.0 r20
18:00.0 1552m @1:55.9 r20
24:00.0 1557m @1:55.6 r20
30:00.0 1580m @1:53.9 r21

Very happy. Target was sub 1:56 and I managed. Really hard effort though. Paul's law now says my 2k should be 6:51.6! I think a 6:55+ is more realistic. Even then, an exactly 200m PB, from my previous effort 1.5 months ago.
Probably 75kg 6ft 4inches

30r20: 7765m
Targets for 2018: 100m 16.6, 2k sub 6:45, 5k sub 18:00, 10k sub 37:30, 30' 8100m, 30r20 7900m

Great result Scott. That's showing some significant improvement in a short space of time.

When are you going to re-test your 2k?
