Did my first 5k last night in 21:43. I think I may have been able to shave some time off that, I didn't really push myself to the limit until the final 1,000m...I didn't want to gas early and not be able to complete it. I was at around a 20-21 SPM the whole time, man is it hard to keep a steady stroke for the entire duration. but im sure ill get there
Good effort on your first session! Best thing to do on the BPP is not push too hard on the SS sessions, use the intervals for that. The distance soon ramps up on the SS and it becomes a bit of a grind towards the end! When I did it, I just tacked the optional days on to the end of the week so I ended up doing Monday to Friday.

did BBP 15.3 today...3 x 10min / 2min rest
Nice and consistent there, the time intervals are the worst, you can't just push harder to get them over with quicker!

I was planning on doing the first week of the BPP a few times while I build a basic level of fitness up as coming from a very low starting point - is this sensible or should I just bite the bullet and stick to the plan?
My missus did that as she really struggled to do 5k without stopping. She repeated it a few times then carried on and she's flying now, up to week 8.
Dreaded endurance intervals for me today. Target was 1:57 but think I was a bit conservative last time round.
