It's surprising the effect a rest day makes, especially if you're doing all the optional sessions on the BPP too!

My turn for the pyramid this morning, I quite like this one. I aimed for the same pace as my 8x500 at 1:50.9 but felt good so pushed a bit more and knocked a second off.

PP 2.1 Pyramid
14:38.3 / 4,000m / 1:49.7 / 28
0:54.6 / 250m / 1:49.2 / 31
1:50.6 / 500m / 1:50.6 / 28
2:45.7 / 750m / 1:50.4 / 27
3:41.2 / 1,000m / 1:50.6 / 27
2:45.3 / 750m / 1:50.2 / 27
1:49.0 / 500m / 1:49.0 / 28
0:51.9 / 250m / 1:43.8 / 29

Nice work, nhopkins!

I just did 6500m yesterday for the start of week #4 of BPP and felt the same way. To a novice like me, these long rows seem very long. The prospect of a 10k row seems daunting!

Nice times on the 8k there! Same distance for me tomorrow morning.

They'll seem positively short after doing the 12k sessions towards the end of the plan..

BPP 4.2 3x1000m. I was shooting for 2:10 splits.

First 1000m came in at 3:59 with 1:59.2 splits. I was pretty thrilled with this since I've never seen anything below 2:00 while I was rowing.

The second two intervals were more down to earth for me with 2:06 and 2:07 splits even with the 3 minutes of rest in between. With a 1000m warm up and cool down, this was a good HIIT session for me.

PP1.3 (which I am meaning first cycle week 3 - is that right or should it be 3.1?)

4*1000m with 5r = 1:46.9

bit disappointing as this is meant to be your 2k pace +1s which maybe means I have slowed down a bit. Tough piece. First one I did at 1:45.9 and the last at 1:47.8 :x

We used to use 1.3.x for the session so I think that is 1.3.1 signifying the day of the week as well

Nicely done on the first interval, you destroyed your target!

Considering the fatigue, you pushed hard on the last 500, good work. :)

Back on the endurance intervals today, pleased with this especially as I did it straight after a weights session. Definitely the hardest session for me though!

BPP 5.1 was the 7000m. This was a strange row for me done while watching football and paying little attention to the monitor. Rowed at 2:!5 and settled in at 24 SPM. This pace seems very natural and fluid to me. The piece was done before I knew it. It was work, but I felt like I could have kept going. An interesting row for me.
