As sad as that is.. it's actually very much the case! Where lots of people are interested and drawn to watching a back n forth mud slinging match for some entertainment. Then when all is calm just move on... hence why i said in an earlier post it's sometimes best to just let things flow along unless it gets well out of control. Of course there is a flip side to this... there are many that don't care for this kind of stuff at all (me included) and will more than likely vanish when they get fed up of seeing it time and time again. I can't help but think of a good few fairly popular people on here who i considered upstanding members that were around here regularly when i joined, are no longer around because of such instances. And i highly doubt they all just quit rowing as being the reason.

I quit a certain automotive club and the Forum associated with it once in New Zealand because it was run and frequented by a bunch of idiots and then joined the Forum in the UK instead. If they didn't want my 19 years experience working and modifying one particular vehicle then they can shove it and get on with the blind leading the blind so there is no doubt that people quit Forums but don't quit the rowing.

Honoust, I miss the blogs.....

I feel sorry for Paul, he simply can,t help himself.
It is a shame that the information in those training blogs has been lost.
I lost everything from March 2005 to when ever it was the UK site closed down. Would think the content would be on a server somewhere.

I have quit 2 automotive forums because of the very same thing! full of morons who are simply hanging around to troll. Big egos etc etc. What was even worse was that the moderators were just as bad, and lots of favoritism and double standards going on.

Rowing is a sport, and requires commitment and work etc so it seems to me you won't really get many immature types or idiots come along too often. Very much a matured population in the erging world and thats a great thing! Another reason i enjoy frequenting this place.

Unfortunately it appears that the sole purpose of this thread has disappeared. It's too bad, I really enjoy reading Shawn's workouts. For the record, I'm glad Paul is gone. No need for a drama queen here.

It is a shame if reading it motivates you to train harder or try different training techniques.

Different things work for different people, personally all I need is RowPro. The difference on a Forum is people talk all sorts of stuff where as live rowing on RowPro you actually have to ROW and not just talk about it. Your results are publicly visible so it kind of cuts out all the ********. As for posting replies here, my preference is just to stick with the technical stuff, be it electrical or the mechanical aspects of the Erg. Your new and vastly improved C2 rowing log or the RP results do the talking for you.
