New 1 minute world record

Ok, nailed it at 406m today (think I still have a bit more as this ended up being my 2nd attempt today- fell off seat on first attempt and only got 393- rested for about 3 hrs and went again- this attempt was still somewhat cautious as I wanted to stay in seat and just make sure I got record) I'd say 410 is doable- but now will focus on 500 for a bit- should be well set to PR the 500 I'd say

Great job! Looking forward to see what you can do with the 500m. And, of course, a lot of the other events when you hit 50 a few months from now.

Edit: Just thought I would toss this in for kicks:

Nice pull Shawn! I like your technique, nice measured long hard pulls instead of the usual blast out of the gate then visibly fade. I always say I can tell a strong rower by how their machine sounds, yours sounds like a top fuel dragster revving up on the start line.

that start (full stroke) doesn't look very fast, but im betting its lethal.

Thanks all

Was 1:07 on third stroke and about 1:10 for first 10 or so- yep video doesn't look very powerful, but staying long and somewhat smoothish definitely helps (hopefully it will better transfer to some of the longer stuff  )

Congratulations, Shawn! Great job. What was your Drag Factor?? By the sound of the flywheel, I am guessing it was 160+. Awesome power!
