Beginner with concept2

Post by nickc84 » November 6th, 2014, 7:32 am

I bought a concept2 about three weeks ago and have never rowed or used an indoor rower until now. I noticed I reach fatigue much faster than if I were doing cardio in the gym. I finally worked my way up to 15 with one break in the middle. I also did some Hiit few times last week. Is this normal for a first timer? I think my posture and form are good but I noticed I get a real burning sensation in my stomach while rowing.

Depends on your fitness. If you go easy you should be able to keep it going for pretty long. Go hard and you will wipped in a few minutes.

Details, meters, time, strokerate. Age/height/weight. Level of fitness will help to get a better respons.

Cardio in the gym runs the gamut. I suspect that the cardio is/was low intensity of short duration. I say that because there are many examples of long distance runners and cyclists taking to erging like ducks to water.

Sorry for the delay. I tried out one of the daily workouts today and it went pretty good.

4 x 1000m / 1 min easy

Row four 1000 meter pieces. Row for one minute at light pressure between each 1000.

The best pic of session is the one of the summary of the rows. There the full 4 reps and there pace and rate was shown.
