i want to purchase a concept2 rowing machine.
i have 2 options . ican purchase a lat pulldown machine or concept2 machine.
does concept2 work as a lat pulldown or seated row exercises for building back muscles? or it is for only cardio ?

i m not a bodybuilder.i just want a beach body

The concept 2 is not a lat machine. I have both, and if I had to choose between the two, it would be the C2. It works many muscles http://www.concept2.com/us/training/muscles_used.asp , and will tone them, but you will not body build with the rower. It'll kick your azz like no treadmill, stair stepper, or elliptical will. If you have a place to do pull ups, bent over rows, and T bar rows you don't really need a pull dn machine. Look over the 5x5 plans using compound exercises. They need very little equipment, and will give you dramatic results. Then spend he money on the erg, and forget the pull dn machine. Check out crossfit.com. They'll whip you into shape, with very little equipment. Whatever you decide, get the C2, it'll serve you for a lifetime.
