How can I improve my form so my arms don't rub my knees?

General discussion on Training. How to get better on your erg, how to use your erg to get better at another sport, or anything else about improving your abilities.

Nosmo - I'd agree it's more likely to be your upper arms then forearms, but depending on flexibility I don't think it's too unusual - certainly I've recently been concentrating on not overcompressing, and I'm getting closer to my forearms than I used to.

I get some pretty nasty burns on my arms when I do slower pieces as well. I'm pretty sure it's nothing that unusual. My lower body is way more muscular and bigger than my upper body, so my thighs/knees are usually wider than my shoulders are when I erg. Thus the rubbing. It's annoying but I'm pretty sure my form is good since I row at college and the coached have looked at my form plenty of times.

Try getting a sleeve if it is still bad, like those basketball players use. I usually just tape my arms at the spot where I rub
