Team Oarsome thread for when the UK forum goes bang!
Today I had a rest day but I did start my brand new Powerbreathe sports performance plus.
I am really hoping to get my fitness back sooner rather than later.
How is everybody today?

For my return to erging, I chose the CTC. This may have been unwise. I didn't expect to be fast, but I thought I would do a little better than this:
1' @ 1:41.0 r32, 1:20 rest
2' @ 1:47.9 r27, 1:40 rest
3' @ 1:51.3 r26, 2:00 rest
1' @ 1:46.7 r29, 2:00 rest
2' @ 1:52.3 r26, 2:00 rest
3' @ 1:52.7 r25
total: 3276 m @ 1:49.8 r27
I felt fine after the first 1' interval, but when I began the 2', my arms felt leaden. I had nothing left. I soldiered on and finished the piece anyway. I think I went out too hard in the first interval.

Second attempt, powered by
Starburst, with more sensible pacing this time:
1' @ 1:49.8 r27, 1:20 rest
2' @ 1:47.7 r26, 1:40 rest
3' @ 1:48.8 r25, 2:00 rest
1' @ 1:47.5 r27, 2:00 rest
2' @ 1:47.7 r27, 2:00 rest
3' @ 1:47.3 r27
total: 3333 m @ 1:48.0 r26

No longer can I support social media platforms that do not allow freedom of speech whether I agree with the speech or not. As a U.S. Marine I support the U.S. Constitution, with that being said, I am now using this forum and created a group page on gab.com for the Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Community.

January CTC completed!
100m 1:41.5r41
200m 1:44.2r40
300m 1:44.6r37
400m 1:46.2r34 (The middle section: 400, 500, 400
500m 1:46.8r33 was planned to stay somewhere
400m 1:46.5r33 between 1:46 to 1:47)
300m 1:43.8r39
200m 1:41.2r43
100m 1:36.0r50
Goal was to be sub 1:46.0, however, I was able to finish the last three reps at a better than anticipated pace.
Next plan of attack is the Half Marathon!

Another fantastic start to the CTC for TO. Four boats floating with three boats in the top ten.

Did the TO challenge yesterday. I wanted to maintain a pace between 2:06 to 2:07. Felt great the whole way and pushed in at the end. Today was a day off to rest plus a long 12 hour day at work helped to make that decision to as well.

A good base building work out. Nice easy start with a good push at the end.
