Vegetarian and Vegan Rowers - New Team
Posted: January 3rd, 2015, 7:50 am
Are you a vegetarian or vegan rower?
Do you want to share dietary ideas for fellow rowers?
Do you want to share your training experiences as a veggie/vegan?
Please join me for the start of a new club that we can enter in online rowing events, share ideas and experiences, and promote this lifestyle choice. The Vegetarian and Vegan Rowers Team will exist to inspire and support people to embrace and maintain a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle, and prove that a veggie choice is the healthy choice.
If you're interested, let's get together and decide a team name, and enter the VTC.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
About me:
My name is Tim Gudgeon-Osterritter (Tim GO for short). I've been a veggie since the age of 18 (26 years ago!), and turned full vegan earlier this year. I've always been active - football (soccer), distance running , cycling. Unfortunately, in the summer I was injured playing football, rupturing my cruciate ligament and tearing my meniscus. So my football days are over. But rowing is such a great hobby - no impact and great cardiovascular work. Just four months post op and I'm back rowing + cycling. Thank you Concept2!
