Decidedly average rower looking for a team

Post by GeekOgre » April 1st, 2020, 9:14 am

I have joined the Concept2 community c. one month ago and now I am looking for a team for the upcoming Spring Series.

I am good for ~ 100 km / month and my best time over 5 km (the only distance I had a real go at) is 20:45.7 (pace: 2:04.5).

If you are looking for common interests, here goes: I am 50 years old, I am from Romania, live in Germany and used to play rugby.

Please let me know if you have an opening in your team.

I have a feeling that the Forum Flyers is the ideal "decidedly average", warm and welcoming team for a "decidedly average" rower.

Their captain will be along to let you know how to download the fifty page (multilingual) membership application form

Forum Flyers open to all, no application, no secret initiation, no dues, no obligation to do a damn thing you don’t want to.

Ha ha! Thanks for the recruiting, Dougie. We'll convince you to move to our team one day.

GeekOgre - you'd be very welcome to join. Hopefully you'll stay for more than just the Spring Challenge, e.g. the monthly Cross Team Challenge, and the sparkling conversation over on the team thread.

Cheers
Dave
