New team

Post by ZoeO » June 6th, 2017, 11:50 am

Would it be possible to set us up as a new team please? Ideally called "Isenhurst
Rowers" please?

We are a small group of keen indoor rowers of mixed abilities at our local gym.

Many thanks
Zoe

Can I ask a newbie question please?

I have just input all our team members. There are 15 of us (7 women/8 men) but it would appear that all but one are heavyweights  I'm assuming that this is a big disadvantage for us, but are we still able to be part of the competition as I'm guessing that most boats would only have four people in them?

For a full boat you need 1 f and one sub 75 rower. Without you never fill a boat..

You can't fill a floating boat without a lightweight lady or a lightweight fella.

Floating boats are
3 hwts (any gender)
1 lady (lwt or hwt)
1 lwt (<75Kg fellas or <61.5Kg ladies)

So your lightweight ladies have the highest likelyhood of making it into a floating boat.

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, we are all heavyweights at the moment, except one lady !! I need to scour the gym for some skinnies

But I'm guessing that we can still submit results, its just we wont get in the points as we will only be able to fill one boat.

Good to have the competition if nothing else I guess :)
