Would like to join a team...

I've just started rowing -- currently using the gym machine but plan on buying my own Concept2 D within a couple of months. I currently do a lot of running and biking but am excited to start my rowing journey!

Are there any teams open right now?

Luna-Tics team (named for our goal to row enough meters to get to the moon...again!) is an open team year round - and we welcome rowers of all abilities. We have many teammates who bike and run, using the erg for cross-training. Of course, the erg is addictive! Check out the team room pages on the forum! Hope to see you on the roster soon.

There are many good teams in the rowing universe. Most of them are open teams, and will be delighted to have you sign on.

To sign on to a year round team, go to your profile in your logbook. Scroll down to the section that says Affiliations, and select the team you'd like to join.

Thanks for the info! So if I affiliate, that's joining the team? That also applies for any challenges, too, right?

The challenges work a little differently. When there is a team challenge, you would go to the team heading while in your logbook. You can join the affiliate challenge team or another challenge team.

During an individual challenge such as the solstice row that is approaching,you are automatically listed with your affiliation. This makes it easy to sort to see how many teammates are meeting the challenge.
