There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of hard work and perseverance. It is an area which we call
The Rowing Zone.
The Rowing Zone is now open to new members. We are a small group - very small at this stage
- dedicated to getting in shape and having fun. This is a quiet, no pressure zone; a place to learn and improve your rowing and yourself. It's not about how good you are today, but how good you're trying to be tomorrow.
Team Credo
- We shall exert no pressure upon other members of the team.
We shall motivate other members of the team to reach their own personal goals and objectives.
We shall be willing to guide and educate all members of the team - no matter their level - whenever they need help or ask questions.

It's time to prepare for next month's Virtual Team Challenge. I find that the best approach is to set goals; I'll start with a goal of 350 km. That's an average of about 11 km per day.
2011 Virtual Team Challenge (Jan 1, 2011 - Jan 31, 2011)

Hey!
I'll post a conservative goal of 50 km. With a little luck and a whole lotta encouragement... I'll be able to surpass it.

Welcome to The Zone Catherine. It's nice to have you aboard. See how you do during the month; perhaps you'll be able to beat the 50 km.

"Mardix" - what a cool name, not like "Oarsman" or some other unimaginative name!
Much success on your new team!

Hey, thanks for stopping by izz - it's nice to see you in another neighborhood of the ether. Thanks for the well wishes for the team - we will try to beat your team's total in the challenges, but something tells me that this may not happen for a little while
I'll stop by your team room and say 'hey' every so often. I saw your post for the FM followed by the HM; you are a glutton indeed - that's very cool.

And so it starts, and so it begins. I was dying after last night's festivities; I must be dehydrated.

I mean, I guess it can't hurt. Considering it's January I'm thinking the erg might be my only cardio option some days...so I 'spose I can.
I'm my goal a nice low, attainable 20k.
Why am I seeing my post is html?
This is incredibly distracting...
