Once you get out of the habit, it is amazing how easy it is NOT to row. Once I had a good reason not to get on to the C2 (torn rotator cuff); I became very comfortable not having a good reason to get back on to it!
Definitely, agree with that! I try to do even a few meters, every single day, or I tend to find myself thinking that "I don't have the time/inclination to row today." The only days I don't choose to row are when we have overnight visitors or when we're out of town.
BTW, love the "Rebel With a Cause." The forum is moving so quickly that I almost forgot to mention it!
@Kiba - nice to hear from you, and your cupcakes.

We've had a few ups and downs in meter totals this year - sometimes teammates just fell off the grid, but we know how to retrieve them from deep space now.
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
These weekly totals basically show that we're moving from a 2 million per week average to one that is now about 10 million in this last week. Granted we added some new teammates, but that's part of the plus and minus of this meter totalling! Whoop!

Danno,
Forlorn and forgotten ergs are impossible to ignore. But please don't pull the wires out of your chest. One of my hospital mates swung the golf club too early in recovery - they had to put him back together again. He just couldn't resist.

I set my PB on a 30m 5 days after my tonsillectomy. About 4 hours later, I was in the emergency room bleeding profusely out my mouth. Personally, I'm going to be a little more conservative following my next surgery.
Yesterday, I was battling a chest cold, ear infection, and general malaise. I didn't have much in the tank for energy. As irrational as it may sound, I felt like I would be letting the team down if I had an off day let alone a day off. Today, I'm feeling about normal.
On a positive not, I just realized that the competition is 31 days instead of 30. Now that I think about it a little more, I'm not sure the extra day is a good thing...

Sounds like far too much thinking going on there Brett... although maybe there should have been some more after that surgery!
Awesome work at the front of the pack mate - along with Ron, it is pretty rare air you guys are breathing in the top ten. Only four thousand meters covering 2nd - 5th places currently! Way to go!

Another episode....rarefied air...
Dave H sent me down this bunny trail with his comment about Brett and Ron breathing pretty rare air in the top ten of the challenge pack. One of those I know what "rare air" means, but where did the phrase come from moments...Physics so early in the day, egad. Turns out that rarefaction is a process...one that reduces a medium's density. According to Wikipedia Central... "Another natural example of rarefaction is in the layers of Earth's atmosphere. Because what constitutes the atmosphere has mass, most of the atmospheric matter will be nearer to the Earth. Therefore, air at higher layers of the atmosphere is less dense, or is rarefied, in relation to air at lower layers." So now you know.
Total Challenge Meters by the 142 members of the Luna-Tics Fall Team = 11,695,032 m (at this moment)
Top Ten Percent Goalers: Need to be at > 114,000 m
Thanks to all who are rowing as part of the Luna-Tics team ! Awesome rowing !! Tremendous efforts !!
