Hey thanks! I actually took the time to re-read the page and actually read the entire thing this time LOLdamselfly wrote:Well I'm gonna dispute the whole time thing. The only field of consequence is the date on the entry of the piece. I take that to mean the date relative to the rower and in his own time zone. The note above is about entering meters for the challenge, not rowing them. You have until midnight ET the 18th to enter them.ronmardix wrote:A little lower in the page is this:Cikan Vuz wrote:Question: The site says "Each team rows or skis as many meters as they can collectively between 12:00 a.m. September 15 and 11:59 p.m. October 15." Now, is that 11:59 pm Vermont time, or the rowers time?
"Deadline for entering meters: October 18 at midnight ET."
Also, most of the time requirements on the site are Eastern time, so best guess would be midnight in Vermont.
Oh, hey, "Midnight in Vermont". I like that. I'm thinkin' there's a movie in that, or at least a song.
If I finish a row before midnight my time it goes on that date, not some right-coaster's notion of what my date should be!
Congrats!blevac wrote:Whoo hoo! Amazing what a small thing like joining a challenge can do. Today I decided to skip my regular 10k and dial in a Half marathon. No training or prep, I figured I would just go at a comfortable pace and stop if It got too difficult. I completed in 1:39:17 with no breaks! My butt is sore and my back a little stiff but otherwise I feel great! And added bonus of putting me over the 500k mark on my C2.
Thanks for letting me sign on. I may not have tried it otherwise. May do it again in a few days.

Excellent rowing. Once you get hooked on this rowing stuff, then all hope is lostblevac wrote:Whoo hoo! Amazing what a small thing like joining a challenge can do. Yes I can see that! Have already thought about trying a full marathon and have only had the machine for 8 months. But you're right, there is definitely something about that machine. I have never looked forward to a workout before. This seems like a great group of people. I've added TimbukTOO as my affiliate team too. Looking forward to participating as much as I can.ronmardix wrote:Excellent rowing. Once you get hooked on this rowing stuff, then all hope is lostblevac wrote:Whoo hoo! You tell it, girl! And as far as I'm concerned, the ET is just there to remind us to Phone Home! And that's no right-coast nor left-coast wisdom - that's down-home Flyover Country smarts for y'all!damselfly wrote:Well I'm gonna dispute the whole time thing.
