Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Okay first off, Sorry to read about your work issues Capt..... I know how painful that can be with my Job issue last year. After working 21 years with the same people and having to make a choice to stay or move. It is a very tough choice.... I wish you all the best in your Job and your work out changes...... I am now back in town and as you noticed I got my row in today... Yea...... Now to start working on getting the house in order...
I sure hope every one had a safe and Happy 4th of July.... I see you have all kept up a great job on the meters.....

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
It takes a LOT to get my husband going... I've still been running and swimming, but I must admit that I have slacked off the last couple of months, using construction and domestic projects as excuses. NO MORE! You'll see my meters going back up. When you get to my age, "use it or lose it" really means something. Muscle tone and strength go FAST when you stop working.Quatroux wrote:What? Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Once you lose your fitness, it takes just as long to get it back. My recent injury laid me up for 4-5 months.
I expect it will take that long to regain my lost strength and fitness.
Weight lifting could possibly shorten that for me- except that I have so many old injuries- to knee, shoulder, back, neck etc.... that I am lucky to be able to row indoors on a machine.
No impact trumps low impact when you hit a certain stage in life.
And there is no hurry now- no rush- no train to catch- no race to win- just to keep on rowing is my lot in life.
Lucky me!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
No speed work... Summer storm interrupted our row. We then did some erg work that I haven't posted yet. I overheated and enjoyed a migraine afterwards. You can be well hydrated and overheated at the same time.

I bailed halfway through my rowing today for this very reason. Too many days of high humidity have sapped me.Quatroux wrote:You can be well hydrated and overheated at the same time.
