Cool to get to spend some time with AJ and Minnie - virtual teammates are even more fun when you meet them in person. As to whether the Rockies vs Giants on Saturday, I do recall that we've both won and lost vs Giants. What is sure to happen is a spectacular setting in San Francisco, a good game with some great teammates.

There it was....surely a sign that was meant to be! It said LUNA ... and there were three Luna-Tics in the car. So, off the road in Napa we pull...thinking we're going to play the YMCA game and make the letters "T" "I" "C" to go with that sign...and spell out LUNA-TIC. Cars were zooming by, probably assuming that there were some crazy people off the side of the road.
The following four pictures are a progression of how we got to LUNA-T I C ...
Image Wait ...we're not ready
Image Not quite right
Image K2 should be the "T"
Image And LUNA-TIC is spelled...we had fun with it anyway!

Welcome Martin and Gene to the team - glad to have you with us!

What more could you ask for, you say? Marmite! Jan was a good sport and just tried Marmite on toast for breakfast before we head down to San Francisco for the game (Go Giants!) ... photo of her face while trying Marmite, to follow ... :)

Went to the INDY 500 last weekend, what a spectacle! ...and we think we're competitive. Now I have 30,000 meters to make up, well worth it. Looks like we have some serious rowing going on now, gained a few oars. At the end of last season we had 140 rowers now it's 71, what happened? Still it seems that we are far ahead of last years meters, correct me if I'm wrong.

Team members don't show on the rosters until they row some 2012 meters - and sometimes they decide to sign on elsewhere. In fact, we're experiencing a seismic shift right now! Have fun rowing whenever and wherever you row! The season is long - much will change from time to time.

And lots of people shift to other activities during the summer, and don't post any rowing meters at all until Fall, so the Team roster can be a little slim at the starting of the rowing year.

BTW, my personal goal for the team is to have as many members as possible showing a picture of some kind on their profile, so our Team roster looks full and super cool. This does not mean everyone needs to be showing a photo of them self. Any picture that strikes your fancy will do. It is a great way to show what a varied and unique bunch of individuals we are on this amazing team. Anyone who needs help cropping, resizing or uploading a picture, just let me know, and I'll help you out.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 6.5.11

Marmite vs Vegemite: what's the difference?

Some say that vegemite is saltier, less sweet than Marmite. The trick, according to Those Who Know, is to just put the thinnest of films of "the stuff" on well buttered toast, rolls. It wasn't bad...anything one has to dole out minimally is either really, really good or really, really nasty. You be the judge....

Minnie, AJ and K2 ended up on the beach....and like the tide, we went out, and we came back...it was a great walk..

Further notes on the West Coast Team Meeting: Meet your teammates - it's only a little scary... Perhaps we'll get more to join in another time ...

Meanwhile....the meters were accumulated, and some roster changes were made....and it's all good...

Season meters as of 37/365 = 10,302,364 m

Total meters on the day = 915,910 m

Oars in space (participation) = 51 percent
