LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 4.22.11
7 Days! One Week! Then it's a whole new season!!
Plenty of time to get to your next milestone....AND continue to prepare for the Global Marathon Challenge! Yep, a half or full marathon (also known as a half or full moon here) right out of the 2012 Rowing Year starting gate. Concept2 folks have upped the ante on us to complete all the challenges they offer throughout the year with the timing of this Challenge. The great thing is that REGARDLESS of when you complete your first half or full marathon (followed by much hooyahing, woohoos and an INCREDIBLE feeling of accomplishment!!), you can now download a certificate right away. That's a relatively recent improvement (we asked for it!). So, game on....no coasting on ergs...hahahahaha
Welcome to two new team members from Tokyo...Akihiro and Miyuki. We wish you many great hours of rowing as part of this team!
Season meters as of 357/365 = 143,770,152 m

FYI. The wahoo (Acanthocybium solandri) is a scombrid fish found worldwide in tropical and subtropical seas. It is best known to sports fishermen, as its speed and high-quality flesh make it a prize game fish. In Hawaii, the wahoo is known as ono. Many Hispanic areas of the Caribbean and Central America refer to this fish as Peto. The name was coined by the first Florida angler to hookup with one. When it turned toward Spain and stripped off 500 yds. of line in 2 seconds he screamed "Wahoo"!

Wahoo's, on the other hand, is a culinary delight in Southern California for a good many years now. These must be the ones that didn't make it to Spain?

Grandbabyprincess IS on the move. Arrived on the red-eye, yesterday on Isla Mujeres for spring break! Here's hoping that the rash guard, hat, and baby sunblock will be effective. One of the few 7-month olds with their own passport.Kona2 wrote:Chris 21,097 m ...whoa...that grandbabyprincess looks like she is on the move!
