I just bought my concept2 a couple of weeks ago and am pretty stoked to have it. I rowed for a semester in college (before I wimped out and didn't want to do early morning practices... even though I loved the sport), so I know this is the perfect way to drop some baby weight and get back in shape. Yay rowing!
Welcome, and enjoy! :)

Struggled this morning...the body said go back to bed when the alarm went at 4am....took its advice! See how I go tonight......

But importantly, way to go the Luna-tics, great effort by all, and has the 'Stork' arrived with the new team member yet? :)

I understand your struggle. 5 AM is an unGodly hour. Today I felt the same but had to many good shows piling up on the DVR so I was force to suffer thru an hour and a holf of chain gang time. Keep the faoth BBB.

Even the two dogs wave me through on the way to the 'garage' these days, a couple of months ago they would be jumping up and down and nipping at my heels at 4am.....

I'm hoping to get at least a 10 k'er in this evening....

I had to cut my rowing short this morning in order to take Kathy (my wife) to the surgery center where she will undergo rotator cuff repair. After I bring her home, I will move the erg to the bedroom so I can complete my 2 mm next to her :D.
Ross
Good luck to Kathy on her surgery. You know that gentle swish-swish of the flywheel can be a very relaxing sound :D I admire your dedication. Actually I admire all the my team mates and their dedication. There is something about this group that seems to inspire everyone.
When I got home from work on Monday there was a message on my answering machine from Lyn (my wife) that she was in the local emergency room. She was having chest pains and was very scared. They did an EKG, x rays, and blood work and could find nothing obviously wrong. She had a fall on the ice recently and they think she might have injured her ribs, which would not necessarily show up on a x-ray. Heat, cold, rest and anti-inflammatories seem to be helping.
By the time we got home and I helped get her settled, it was pretty late. But, knowing that we were fighting for that third spot inspired me to row anyway.
It may sound corny but I think our team philosophy comes right out of the Three Musketeers: "All for one and one for all" :!: Ron
I'm so sorry for what's happened to Lyn. It's very interesting that Kathy injured her shoulder while ice skating, so both of our brides fell on the ice. But Kathy is doing well, 'though her recovery is going to be a while with a lot of PT. Maybe I can get her started on the erg... And, yes, the swish-swish of the flywheel can be hypnotizing, even to the one doing the rowing!
