thanks everyone...ended up not being the marathon i wanted but i started...finished...and i'm on a great marathon team...so i'll do it again next year...because sooo many folks line the sidewalks i never saw the ergers....oh...for boston, not only do i have my name on my shirt and all the folks that i'm running in honor and in memory of...the boston pro teams who are currently playing on my legs...plus the teams i belong to...so my running teams were on one arm and luna-tics on the other...so yes ...folks were yelling out to me go luna-tic...which for me is very appropriate...thanks again everyone...barbara

ImageAwesome, Barba-tic! That's some accomplishment. It was very fun to "know" someone in the race (other than Lance). Does your team provide masseuses now?

Need A Fill In Stats Tracker For A Few Days

Post by Kona2 » April 21st, 2008, 11:35 pm

I am going to Mesquite NV for a few days of golf (I am better at rowing) and lots of sunscreen. Are any of you Luna-Tics crazy enough to take on the stats tracking assignment for Thursday thru Sunday of this week? Some of you have seen the spreadsheet and how it works - not too tough to do.

The other option is that I can just post what happens while I am out of pocket when I return. Let me know what you'd like for me to do on this one!

I'd be honored to do the stats tracking on the weekend with the appropriate bells and whistles ... but probably wouldn't get to it on Thursday and Friday ... (If no vols for doing all 4-days, Saturday's numbers would look awesome!)

So, are you adding golf to your cross-training CV? :)

Awesome gals and guys!

- Congratulations to Barbara for completing the Boston Marathon!
- Congratulations to Chris for 2M in the season! It was just "yesterday" that she passed the 1M milestone!
- Congratulations to Dan for being the first one to complete a full marathon before jumping on the big ship!
- Congratulations to Darryl for being a 50k+ weekly winner! He's our team's board leader too, so who could be more deserving?!
- Congratulations to Jane for being our board leader for NARC!
- Thanks to Jan for tracking so diligently and nicely the team's progress and milestones! - Have a nice golf trip and don't worry!
+ anything I might have missed from recent events!

All these "force" me to try a 1/2 marathon and try to achieve the first 1M on my model D before the end of the season.
As I never thought I'll reach the 1M milestone, I did not track my meters on the model C in my company's gym ;).

Thanks to all of you for being such a wonderful, motivating and funny team while rowing diligently to move the "boat" towards the moon!

Happy rowing!

Andrea

Andrea - good for you for attempting the HM. I have 90K left for my 1st million, but really don't think I could get that done within a week. I'm going to be close, 50K per week for me is doing really well, so I'll have my million by 5/7. But you go girl!

Hope Dan is enjoying his cruise, he earned it.

Thanks to Darryl & Chris for taking over the Stats.

Luna-Tics daily stats for April 23, 2008
brought to you in plain vanilla text by DuluthMoose, subbing for, but not up to Kona2’s usual high standards…. (how could she do this to the team?)

disclaimer: if there are any screw-ups contained within this, its Chris’ fault.

Only 7 More Days This Season To Row! Let’s motivate!

Rowing, rowing, rowing.
Keep those Concepts going.
Luna-Tics are rowing.

24 percent of our oars in the water!

Milestones!

Team Luna-Tics 45 million meters!

And today's stars are:

Mitch 10,610 m
Mike 10,003 m
Chris 10,000 m

Oh, sure, blame the blonde! Darryl - If there are any "my bad's" on your shift, I'll assume you're thinking wistfully about your canoe and not concentrating on Jan's (intense) spreadsheet!

Your rousing "raw hands/Rawhide" post is almost haiku!

Thanks to Darryl and Chris for taking over the stats for a few days. Maybe Chris will stay distracted and quit trying to run me down. Can't a guy catch a break? Really you are helping me out; have had a lot on my plate lately and it is just too easy to pass up a work out without that push. Thanks.

Drat ... I still didn't think you'd been noticing! Actually, I'm trying to figure out when it is that you row ... no matter what and when I post, you're always ahead! (Hey, Tim - Take the night off ... I'm going to the theatre.)

Riiiiiiight. Just like when you snuck past me the last day of the NARC; it was the extra hour you had on the coast. What I want to know is when do you have time to row all of those HM? Most of the time I will row in the evening after dinner. I have been trying to pick up a couple of rows a week in the morning; I am usually out the door by 5:45 so it's tough sometimes. Right now I am trying to hit 400K for the month and I will row a HM this weekend. I think we are both doing more than we would have on our own, thanks for the push.

Tim
