Honestly I didn't even row it. I just threw up a time so I would be in first place. :) I figured it would be the only time, I would hold the number one spot for the 500M. I didn't want to post a fast time, since I didn't really row it.

As a footnote, my moment in the sun was very short-lived. One of my clients shattered my 2k time Thursday night with a 7:08.5. Great for him, bad for me :(

I rowed a 10000M this morning and every 500M split was under 3:00, so I have just validated it. B)

Don't you hate it, when the student is smarter than the teacher?

Trust me, the student is far from becoming the teacher. His only contribution is being 6'3 (I'm 5'6). Actually, when multiplied by a weight adjustment factor (provided by Greg at Concept2), I come out 3 seconds faster. Small ego saver but I'll take it. :D

Hey guys
I'm glad there are still people erging away.
Steve, you rock the 2k. Nice graphs too. What a techy!
It's just what I needed to see... I came back on looking for some inspiration since I have to do another 6k test. I have not been on the erg since my last one! (But I have rowed 140000m on the water so far this month)

Very sad stats for me for the current month:
0km on the erg, and about as many on the bike :( (and the sun is shining today!)
yr 1966, 1,87 m, 8? kg

Our thread is losing ground here. Those other teams seem to be all over it. I'm just not in erg mode... BUT I'm riding! Got the CR70 in the backyard, and the YZ125 comes out on the weekends when we go to the track. YAY! And I'm thinking of getting a dual sport so I can ride it to the lake (part on road and part cutting through trails) -I've done it on the 70 which is totally illegal but nobody's out watching at 5:30am so it's not a problem... although coming home at 8:00am is a bit riskier.

I'm still around, Mike. Have to admit though that, like Michelle, other training has taken priority - concentrating on strength and speed for the current (summer) and upcoming (fall) lacrosse seasons. I will say that my cardiorespiratory conditioning is the best it has ever been thanks exclusively to the intervals that I was doing on the rower. The legs on the other hand...

I'm going to try to get on rower today for the first time in a couple of weeks to give my legs a break. We'll see how it goes. The popularity of the rower in our studio is on a rapid rise. I tried to keep it under wraps but the results that I and my clients were getting started to become all to obvious.

I'm injured again. This is becoming old. I want my 30 year old body back!!!!!!!

Smashed up both of my hands in a trials fall. Nothing broken, but I turned them to mush. 4 weeks and they still hurt and my grip is pathetic. So there has been no riding for me and it hurts to row.

I have been cycling, but a very pathetic amount. I think I was in better shape in February than what I am now.

For anyone still lurking, I broke my 500m record just now with a 1:36.3 (-2 seconds). Yea me!

Once again, my joy is short-lived. My client just pulled a 1:29.1.
