Hello logbook my old friend
I’ve come to check some meters in
Because I’ve worked real real hard
You can tell by looking at my card

But when I go
To try and log in… to my chagrin (and it’s after 10!)

You’re still down for repairs

I dare anyone to put a second verse on this

On my erg I pulled alone

Awaiting Vermont’s dial tone
'Neath the flywheel and the reading lamp
I was sweating and my hair was damp
When at last it was six o’clock at night
So C2’s back, is that not right?
… but, still, the sound of silence.

(It's a long way to the moon. Je m'amuse.)

Nothing like rowing the meters that push the dial past ONE million, and not being able to post the meters right away! I must admit that I checked until 8 pm or so MST (and that would have been 10 ET), and decided to see what today held in store!

And what a great surprise to see SO MANY meters from so many teammates! Whoop! Whoop!

Season meters as of 210/365 = 45,963,887 m

Total meters on the day = 527,856 m

Oars in space (participation) = 32 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

4.1 MM Will S
1.0 MM Chip Garfunkel
400 K Greg H
300 K Peter H
200 K Greg C

THREE Million Meter Milestone:
AJ with (7,203 m) to go!

ONE Million Meter Milestone:
Ted with (27,000 m) to go!

Ross with (25,943 m) to go!

Image Mega-moon update from Will S with 110,000 m posting!
Image Chip zooms past the ONE million meter mark with a red giant posting (>50 K)!
Image An almost full moon sheds some light on Baz's 40,000 m posting...
Image Half moon for Jerry (plus quite a few extra) with a posting of 31,085 m
Image Half moon for Mitch J with a 21,435 m posting

welcome back.....how did all your racing go????and i hope everyone had a good thanksgiving......
[/quote]

Thanks for asking Barb! I only ended up rowing in 2 races this year. One in the summer and one in the fall. (I spent more time chauffering my daughter to all her activities.) I raced at the Derby Sweeps and Sculls (Shelton, CT) in June. We raced in a double and took 1st in our 1,000 meter race. Then I raced in an 8+ at the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia in Oct. We took 2nd in our event in the 2.5ish mile course.

Have fun Kayaking BazZy!

Erg away everyone!

Karyn

Strike a light....so much going on in here over the past 24 hours....fireworks over Wisconsin, and BG back in the saddle (take it easy though!), Thanksgiving has come and gone (hey who won the footy?), snow?

A pleasant 22 degrees in Sydney, a touch humid so I'd expect storms later...

WOWZERS! Thanks for all the congrats and encouragement. Gotta say... this is the fourth C2 team I've been on, but the others pale by comparison. The support for all endeavors (rowing, paddling, running, walking, life in general) is a real treasure. I'm actually part of a team here.

Thanks!
