The loft plans are found at
www.redroselofts.com. Down near the bottom of their home page there is a link under a picture.
Made progress painting yesterday.
I am going to do my best to get up early and get a row in since I am not able to work on the lofts tomorrow (Monday).

Thanks back at ya for being so "on task" with the stats ... and congrats on passing your bike class ... I think I saw you 'round the neighborhood ... excellent hand signals.

Jan, Congrats on the bike class.
Kristine, The lofts look great.
Barbara, We will all be with during your run.
Jane, Way to go. You're an animal as my frirend Ed Connor says.
I am back but Mother27 told me to cool for a while. I guess that means no extended rows until she gives the OK.
Thanks for all the concern. The hand is near normal after the cortisone injection. Dr. said it would take a week to be totally OK. Just in time for the cruise and all those 12oz curls.

Congratulations Tim on the 2 million mark!
Dan, good to hear the hand is getting better.
Jan, magical graphic on today's meters post. Very nice to see a calm sea after the 16 footers we had on Lake Superior over the weekend.
Kristine, thanks for posting the source of those loft plans. I'm going to play with the design a little and see if I can come up with a replacement this summer for my present home built 25 year old greenhouse. Darryl B.

Well, really sir ... sitting down and starting a full marathon after your hand has just sent up warning flares ... what's a mother to do, but scold!

(12 oz curls sound most recuperative!)
Congrats, Tim, on your 2 mill. Way to finish strong.

A word from someone who's rowed on the water...
Translation, wrong grip, to much press in palm of hand.
The oar/erg handle should be in your curled fingers on the drive, with your wrists straight. What I don't like about the Erg handle is that you cannot feather on the recovery. I wish it would rotate 90 degrees to facilitiate a feathering motion. I had to learn to stop trying to feather the oar. Best thing on recovery, is simply relax your fingers a bit and let the handle pull you up the slide. My palms never touch the handle.
Sculling, your palms are vertical on the recovery, and flat on the drive.
As for me, I haven't been able to pull away from the blasted 1040's to get upstairs to my erg. I hope to make it today, but having missed 2 days and with Passover approaching, my million meters by 4/30 is doubtful.

Mother27,
Consider me properly admonished and cowering with regret. I promise not to try another marathon until you say it's OK.
Tim, Congrats on a major accomplishment.
