if you are interested in 'broken intervals,' be sure to upgrade the firmware in your monitor - free on the Concept 2 website. They've reworked it so you can program in some 'off-erg' time.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 9.13.10
Working from a remote location today -- and find that I do not have yesterday's file with me on the computer. Rats.
I'll have to update this posting a little bit later with the actual numbers. In the meantime, we do have a couple of shout outs!
Woohoo and congrats to Danno for crossing the 1.9 MM milestone - you know that means that the TWO million meter season countdown has started! Excellent!
Hooyah and congrats to David T for crossing the 800K milestone ! Great rowing throughout this season!
And a whoop whoop! and congrats to Ross for crossing the 400K milestone! You're not that far from a cool half million!
Row row row! Aussie clock is underway for the start of the Fall Rowing Challenge! In just a few hours, northern hemisphere will join in! Hooyah! Great to get started! 50 team members signed on currently. Remember, you have until 30 September to sign on with a team - after that, the rosters are frozen. Please update your meters at least every Friday so we can be visible competitors.
Leaves will be falling before you know it - enjoy the season!

Does anyone know yet how to fiind the Standings page for the Fall Rowing Challenge? Seems like it is always a mystery for the first week or so.

It's not up yet, but the team standings will probably be at this link: http://www.concept2.com/sranking03/team ... esults.asp
Individual LUNA- TICS team members should be at the link: http://www.concept2.com/sranking03/team ... index=2537
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Fall Team Challenge Team Members....52 of us! Here's the list thus far! If you've clicked on the link in your teams section that asks if you want to join the challenge, your name should be showing up.
As noted, there are no meters even though the switch is "on" for the Aussies. This may be because they haven't rowed, or haven't uploaded meters, or it may be universally true that none of the teams can show meter counts yet. Just like the affiliation standings, the FTC standings will be posted with a daily call out of how many meters we've collectively rowed.
Rest up....for tomorrow we row!

Congratulations, Luna-Tics, we've achieved a 26 million team meter season!
Wowzer! The sonic boom from Rocket Man's deposit of a cool half million in the team meter piggy bank (FEED THE PIG!) has meter shockwaves reverberating through our rowing universe. Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
There's been a whole lot of Rowing going on! Great! Congratulations to those who met milestones and welcome to new Luna-Tics and team challenge members!
I am back rowing, but it will be for at most a couple weeks until my next trip (fall road trip). Quetico isn't quite as benign at this time of year as it usually is in summer, but I had a safe and wonderful trip. Day 1, 15 miles + 4 portages; Day 2, 10 miles + 6 portages; Day 3, 9 miles + 2 portages; Day 4, 16 miles + 3 portages; Day 5, 7 miles + 3 portages; Day 6, 12 miles with no portages; Day 7, 6 miles + 3 portages + wind gusts to 40mph; Day 8, 12 miles + 2 portages. Very cool and invigorating temps with only 1 day getting into the lower 60F. Pretty much no sweat canoe travel weather. Fishing was slow but we did get some for suppers. And most importantly, I think my newbie partner learned a lot. Most unique experience was a tough portage on day 2. It was about a mile in total length with a quarter of that through a sphagnum swamp (and associated muck/bog walking). We picked ripe wild cranberries along the way! It took 1 hour 48 min for us to clear that portage with 2 loads each (walking 2 miles total with load and 1 mile without load). I will post a link to some photos as soon as I upload some. I won't have time to do a trip report with all the tomato processing I've got ahead of me.
Moose.

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Jill and I are now on the boards. If we were tracking meters * BMI, I'd be in first place. Wild Bill, how many teenagers do you have to pay to crank out 50k meters? I'm afraid I started out at a pace I can't keep up the next 29 days. I hope I can still walk tomorrow morning. My blisters have blisters. Enough of my complaining, congrats to all on day 1!
