Here are a few pics from our hike, 4 miles up the mountain, to St. Paul Lake in Montana - Grizzly bear country, but thankfully we didn't see any.

Thanks for posting the great photos of your hike Captain! I had to look several times at that #2 photo. Sure looked like a griz in the foreground on the left side of the lake. But must be a stump instead. Looks like you had full gear for an overnighter.

Image How to view who is on the team...

One way to view who is on the Fall Rowing Challenge team is to follow this pathway: if you look to the top of the forum pages, you will see Motivation (this doesn't appear if you are logged into your logbook - go figure). Click on Motivation, and go to challenges - team. Then you can select Fall Rowing Challenge (FRC), and you'll see this year's great logo. In the lower righthand corner of the page, you'll see a link that will take you to 2009 FRC Team Standings. Click on this. When you see our team name, you can click on this (even though it shows the final team member numbers and team meters for 2009, it will show THIS year's team members who are currently signed on) and see who has signed up. We are 18 strong right now!

You have to belong to a team for this challenge, and many who might either row as individuals without a team designation the rest of the year, may choose to sign on with us or another team for the team challenge segments of the rowing year. We're an open team - and welcome all who choose to join us!

Whoosh.....that was August flying by....welcome September!

Season meters as of 123/365 = 22,298,881 m

For those of you who are asking, in my above posted picture, Tim is not standing on higher ground than the rest of us. He is over 6'5" now. We spent two nights camping there, so yeah, the packs were a little heavy. We brought more food than needed, but better to have too much than too little when you are that far from the car.

I just joined the Luna-Tics in order to participate in the Fall Team Challenge. I look foward to the rowing along with the rest of you. My name is Ross Drown and I've become a C2 erg addict as of two months ago. I don't know much about rowing, teams, or challenges, but I'll try to do my part. Thanks for inviting me to join.

Thx, Dan, William ... girls rock! (insert girl smilie face here)

Welcome, new rowing people. The team motivation and C2 incentives are everything that counts. (Plus a good movie to watch whenever you sit down to erg. But, that's just me.)

Well done 27! Congratulations on rowing 2 Million Meters this rowing season!

Ross - Welcome. You are now a card carrying Luna-Tic!

I am packing for an end of summer 8 day canoe trip into the Quetico. This will be about a hundred mile loop trip in a tandem tripping canoe with a former colleague. It is his first trip into Quetico and I'm sort of a coach on this one. Not going to be a guide, because this guy is along to learn.

hello LUNA-TICS!

I just signed on with the team for the FRC and beyond, hopefully. I generally pick up my erging this time of year, and pull on through the january challenge. I just crossed over 4million lifetime meters, most of which has been on my old Model B.

DuluthMoose, enjoy your trip to the Quetico! I'm about 90 miles south of you, and have been to the park annually since 1995. The late season trips are the best, IMHO... no bugs, few people and great fishing. Have fun!
