Yoo-yah! K2, you are set to roll. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for all the new pic cheers! This is actually the same hair I have had for my whole life. I just keep it pulled up, and out of the way a lot. But I was making an effort to get some nice pictures with my friend who is a professional photographer, so there you go! Had to let the hair down even though it was pretty hot and humid there.

I was soooo hoping to row tonight, but it's just not going to happen. Cleaned pigeon lofts all day, and have absolutely no energy left. Go, Gina!

Another rainy day
Kona2 - You and Tweety have a great ride this weekend!
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1 ... =651145071
The above web address is for a photo I took yesterday, before the wind, rain, and some hail hit. This is a clump of showy lady slipper orchids, growing near my woodpile. I didn't know they were there until last year. The blooms only last about a week.
And although I know not many of you will have access to this magazine, I'll bring this up anyway. My backside is in a photo in the current issue of the Boundary Waters Journal (summer 2010). I'm the guy gazing out across the lake from shore in the photo on page 49. It was on Sarah Lake, Quetico Park in Ontario right after a rainstorm in July 2008, and the photographer was part my crew. And now he's making money off me.... And on page 5 is a nice photo of 2 folks in my crew on that trip, looking at the pictographs on the rockface in Darkwater Lake.

i hope yours survived the storm...
BG - The showy lady slippers are still standing and still look lovely. But if you go for a close-up photo now, the tops of the blooms have dark spots. I suspect that is some "bruising" from the heavy rain and a little dime sized hailed we had. I hope your recovery from surgery is going well.
I see BAZzy is now at Currawinya National Park from his SPOT locator beam (7AM CDT). Cool!

The Milin 4 Myelin Tweeties (photo from this year's jersey) crossed the finish line in a tweety bunch yesterday....received our finishers medals . Good weekend ride - the riders who have MS and yet continue to ride (some with handcycles) are so inspiring - definitely helps push up the hills. Lots of rolling hills, farmland (haying season....my favorite!), and ranches provide a visual boost, too.
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
woo hooo and congrats on your ride, k2...

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Tommorow (July 1) is Canada Day. Happy Canada Day! to our Canadian luna-tics; Steven D, Antony F, and Kiba. I should be Happy in Canada as well tomorrow, crossing the border by noon in a gear loaded canoe heading north. Moose
