Hi, Team TimbukTOO,
If I hit the right buttons, I just joined your team. I am a fairly new rower, having purchased an erg around Thanksgiving last year. My first challenge was the 2011 Holiday Challenge and I completed my 100K no problem. I was on my way to completing the March Madness Challenge, but caught the nastiest flu bug ever and had to quit this week. Still, I had rowed 100K in 20 days.... But I believe I can put those meters to use in the World Erg Challenge for your team. Looking forward to rowing with you all and getting lots of motivation during the challenge!

Best,
Cliff

P.S. My recent PB milestones were a 7:09.9 2K and a 19:26.8 5K.

Welcome to the team, Cliff!! Glad to have you aboard! Hope you're over your flu bug. There seems to be a bit of that going around these days. :(

Thanks for the tip Heather, I am getting some! For me, it's all about the "need for speed"!
Ooooo, I wish I had seen this sooner: I had lots of leeway to improve on speed; you, however, already row like a bat out of hell. Still, I suppose even a 1 second improvement overall will make you smile. And no more blisters or calluses (which is what has probably slowed me down all this time, fussing and fretting about the pain and trying to find more comfortable handholds...like that ever worked! )

I just finished rowing and re-watching a lovely film called "Waking Ned Devine", which is filmed entirely on our teammate Keith's home of Isle of Man. Keith, I envy your absolutely beautiful environs!! I'd love to run those stunning hills someday....

The 15K I did was too much-even if I took it easy. Hopefully I can get back to it today. And as for the Isle of Man-I'd rather ROW out in that gorgeous area! :P
