Luna-Tics in the Concept2 news arena:

Tina Jacky is today's rower of the day! Hooyah!
Rick C was chosen as one of the weekly winners back in April ! Missed reporting this one - congrats, Rick! I believe that makes the fourth LunaTic selected as a weekly winner in the last three years...

Astrogator intuition says it's time for announcement of the first Summer Sweeps winner.....last year's first selection was made on June 3rd, followed by one on June 11th. We're due.....and just as a refresher, here's the info on Summer Sweeps:

Image
HOOYAH! SUMMMMMMMMER is here (for this side of the IDL).

Image Summer Sweeps
June, July and August

The Details
■Row or ski 5000 meters as many days as you can during the months of June, July and August.
■On ten randomly selected days throughout the months of June, July and August we will draw a winner's name from everyone who rows or skis at least 5000 meters that day.
■Meters must be entered online.
■This is an individual challenge. (You do not need to belong to a team to participate.)
■Indoor rower, on water, SkiErg, and on snow meters count

Keep your online logbooks up-to-date to be included in the drawings! Winners’ names will be posted on the Summer Sweeps Winners page. The more days you row or ski at least 5000 meters, the more chances you'll have to win a T-shirt or rowing shorts!

Image Summer Solstice row is approaching.......get ready to row that 21K for the official kickoff of summmmmeerrrrr....with 11 days to go, now is the time to slip a few extra metering sessions into your day..!

Season meters as of 38/365 = 7,574,278 m

Total meters on the day = 181,971 m

Oars in space (participation) = 34 percent! Respectable!

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

Well, K2, as our Aussie team mates might say ... "Good on ya, mate!"

I'm waiting with bated breath (what is that, anyway?) for the devilish sequence: 66,666.

bated breath - chopped form of abated breath, which means held back or stopped. ...As opposed to baited breath which you get after eating your favorite tin of sardines or kippers. Moose

I guess I have to let my bated breath out. You also reminded me that I need to find a source to buy (good) anchovies!

In search of good anchovies... K2 wonders if there is such a thing as a "good" anchovie...a quick perusal of photobucket reveals amazingly that there is an Anchovie the Space Dragon*...crew will be on space dragon watch while Minnie goes in search of a source for the "other" kind of anchovie! Aquarium guards at the alert...
