LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
run, Barbara, run !!!
WRC: Thru Day 18
Total meters rowed on day 18 = 232,057 m
Crew on the roster = 70
Whoa - a day of updates drops us down a peg with RowPro's addition of about ten new teammates, and Albion's drive for another new rowing machine for their facility (and it looks like they will earn one for highest team average). Lots of rowing for the next couple of weeks - much can and will happen!!

Just doing some banking Kona2! And I'm not chasing 27, but might be keeping her nose on the grindstone... If I'm shooting to be in the top 100 at the end of the WRC, the way I see it I cannot afford to take 2 days off from rowing 18K per day. And I know I'm faced with taking a day off soon. So I guess you could call the extra meters preventative rowing on my part.

This had not gone unnoticed, I might add ...DuluthMoose wrote:Just doing some banking Kona2! And I'm not chasing 27, but might be keeping her nose on the grindstone ...

Congrats!
Congratulations to Us Luna-Tics! The Year Round Team Average Breaks A Million Meters per Rower This Season! Well Done Mates!
Kona2 - Do you know why the needle is stuck on our individual number of posts tally? Or is that now an assigned number (identifyer) for a lot of us....? Me = 442, You =1850, Chris = 680, Dan = 648, BG = 596, Gina = 271, BAZ = 226, etc.

Sorry about that! Gloria hasn't been able to respond to the ping; I've been in sick bay for a week and will be here another few days. Hope to return to 5555 very soon!

Re: Congrats!
Maybe it has to do with the change to the new look. Maybe these are the numbers we all had at the time of the change.DuluthMoose wrote: Kona2 - Do you know why the needle is stuck on our individual number of posts tally? Well, I just noticed that my postings number increased with this posting. Did you know that your data updates for all posts simultaneously, so whatever your current number is, it will read that number even if you show a posting on page one of our thread.

Okay, I just have to try one more test. My previous posting was # 437. Let's see what happens with this one.

Thanks Captain K. I didn't know that all previous posts take on the current number that you have posted. So I am now at 443 as stated on all my previous posts. What will they think of next to confuse me? Moose
Needles, dials and number of posts
Here's my theory on the tally associated with the number of posts a forum contributor makes: because we hit "post reply" to remain inside the team room, the tally counter gets confused. If you have a new subject within post reply, then you click one forward. I have made many entries in a single day - in reply to whatever discussion thread we're currently on, only to find that I haven't moved the dial or needle a single digit's worth. I think I'll ask David Hart, the forum guru at Concept2, if he can elaborate on the counting mechanism.
You'll note that there are paddlers, 500m posters, 1K, and so on to correspond to the number of posts. We'll see if we can demystify it.

Ah, yes - we LunaTics are enjoying the multi-sport life ! We have walkers, runners, golfers (whoa - not fun with 30 to 40 mph gusts! Can only imagine what would have happened if I'd been on the bike...would have been like that gal in the Wizard of Oz...), boaters, canoeists, triathletes, kite flyers and lefties. Some of you may be more than one of these. Meter contributions are down a bit, but the team pages reflect active lives (which is, after all, the whole point). Spring fever?!
Thanks to all who are rowing as part of the LunaTics Challenge Team !
