Wow! Last night I couldn't check out the forum since they were working on it. I sure was surprised when I opened it up this morning. We have a new look. I think I like it.

I have a curiosity question. Those of you who put in a lot of meters over the course of one day (20,000 +), what do you do for a living? Do you erg in one sitting or do you get on the erg multiple times during the day?

I erg before work in the morning during my off season (Nov.-Apr.) and manage to get in about 40-60 min. so I'm not able to get in the numbers some of you can. I'm just curious about how you can make it happen.

Everyone and their numbers continues to impress (and motivate) me. Keep it up!

Took me a couple of minutes to figure out the new "post reply" function! (Someone moved my cheese.)

I work a regular 40-hour week (at a high school, but I don't teach) ... and have 8:00 pm as my drop-dead time to start rowing. One sitting. I find I do this, even on the weekends when there are certainly options for multiple shorter rows.

starting very early for 1 - 1,5h and if I don't reach the "day - target" I row in the evening.
A few months a go I started "the wolverine" program. I row 4 - 5 L4's (low spm but heavy) per week and after eacht session I add some sprints (8 x 500m, 4 x 1000m...). Other trainings are: long rows (3 x 10k, 2 x 15k, 30k) or 5 x 1500m, 4x 2000m...
.. and yes in between work a little bit...

Karyn,
Before my injury I row early AM, minimum of 10K and then again late afternoon usually HM. Since the injury I row once a day; legs and back only and try to make 10K. Getting in and out of my harness is a pain.

My training regime revolves around, power lifting, rowing, and kayaking Recently I have added Bikram Yoga for flexiblility and stretching, but it is a solid workout in its own right.

Rowing is usually at 5am in the morning, and weight lifting at lunch time on strength training days. Yoga after work…… That usually means about 60/70 minutes of rowing. On some of the challenges I try to row at lunch time.....

I’m an early morning person, and Janet and Thomas wouldn’t dream of being up at that time of the morning…so early morning works out to be a good time for it…

Good weekend to all...BBB :)

There have been some that question my mental make-up.

Just returned from my 6 week post-op checkup. I am now a two handed typer again. I only have to wear the splint and sling when I leave the house. My mission for the next 2 weeks to straighten the elbow with no support and then return it to the 90 degree position along with starting to rotate the forearm. Still no pulling or lifting of any kind. I may be back to light rowing before you know, I'm thinking 4 more weeks.

Almost aka lefty aka danno
