Undertake something that is difficult; it will do you good. Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.

If you think you are too small to be effective, you have never been in the dark with a mosquito.

All meters rowed are important and essential to the team.No matter how many or how few.Even if you can't row and are there for support..
I loved the above quote..it says it all.

"A small trouble is like a pebble. Hold it too close to your eye and it fills the whole world and puts everything out of focus. Hold it at a proper distance and it can be examined and properly classified. Throw it at your feet and it can be seen in its true setting, just one more tiny bump on the pathway of life." - Celia Luce

Pat,
I'm sooooooooo :D glad you only had computer issues. I really missed you, your encouraging quotes and fun qraphics! My favorite one lately is the one by Ronald Osborn,

"Undertake something that is difficult; it will do you good. Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow."

That is what I did on Saturday. I reached a point that I couldn't quit, even though I really wanted to be lazy and quit after 12,000 meters. 21k in a day may not be much for 300k and above rowers, but it is tough for me. I often wonder how you and the other 300k plus rowers consistently row big numbers. How long do you row, and how many sessions do you row?

Anyway, I'm glad all is well with you and your household.
Sandi

Hi Sandi!!
Great to be back.. I missed being here.
Congrats on the rowing efforts!!I do find that 21,000 meters is alot and many times I do not row them in one sitting.Depends on the day and how I feel. There was a time I could sit all day and row..well..no more.If I want to do a HM I will sit and do it for my own ranking purposes but normally for long rows or huge meter amounts I row several times a day as my daily activities allow. It keeps my metabolism revved for the day and helps me to push my fitness level to the next stage. No matter how many meters you row or how long it takes...it is just important that you do it for your self and to meet your goals and your challenges. We are all so different and have different time factors, skills, ages, capabilities etc.It is fun to compete but the real competition is with yourself..to make you better and stronger.Just the way I feel about it.So ,great work and just enjoy the ride!!!
