3B: That is a really, really great image of the younger Mr. O'Malley. Has he changed much in the past year?

Will S: congrats on the mega mills! Hope that you'll be home for the holidays.
Congratulations Will S ......

And 27.... to answer your question...(Has he changed much in the past year?) ...just a little cheekier than last year  ......although he has grown a little bit!

WOW CHRIS! 10 MILL! You should gloat over that number.

Thanks for welcoming me back friends. I'm mentally prepping for the pending time on the erg. It's good to know you are all still here for me.

I've seen people asking the age old question about what to do for butt pain. Most suggestions have to do with cushioning the toush. I'm going to throw another suggestion into the mix for a different type of butt pain. It may not be a problem all of you have, but I'm sure it effects someone other than me. If you suffer from friction burns between your cheeks, use a little Desitin creamy in the area before you row. It works wonders at healing and preventing future irritations.

Hi BG I should have said that it is a 'mock=up' photo that they do at the carnival...so no article...but I must say that he did very well at that carmival, and it comes up again in about a month's time, so he is training very hard. He loves to hurdle and is quite good at it..........great photo and we love it.

Also, got a shoe in the mail from you the other day...thanks! It is on the fridge!!

Cheers

Wild Bill reporting for duty :D

Sorry for not checking in sooner, but my schedule has been more than a little hectic lately. Not as much time as I would like for the Erg, but doing good things with my work time.

When I went back and reviewed the postings I had missed ... WOW!!

Chris with 10MM Lifetime - way to row!

Karyn is back - missed you

Will S with 3MM for the season - don't forget to lube that chain, sand gets in everywhere :?

New members, accomplished milestones, it's great to see :P

Well done, TEAM!

I'll send the LRRP's out to see if we can locate Kiba, Dan and Bart - preliminary Intel is that they are mentally prepping for the end of the year holiday madness, but would like to see them back on board.

Every healthy day we have to Erg without injury is a joy!

I am monitoring the forum, it's about all I can do. Still in sick bay. Had a relapse day today my Doc said I would still be contagious for another 3-4 days. Hope this clears soon we are suppose to leave for Oregon Nov 21st. I'll check in again when there is some improvement to report. Until then someone will have to cover for me.

Thirteen rowers on the 13th day.....woot! ( "woot" was originally a truncated expression common among players of Dungeons and Dragons tabletop role-playing game for "Wow, loot!" Thus the term passed into the net-culture where it thrived in video game communities and lost its original meaning and is used simply as a term of excitement [so says Wikipedia]. Many of you with teen txters may indeed already be familiar with woot...) Hopefully Chris was not rowing to the notoriously bad Thirteenth Warrior movie...

Season meters as of 197/365 = 54,995,025 m (so close to 55 MM !)

Total meters on the day = 217,835 m

Oars in space (participation) = 16 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

THREE Million Meter Watch:

TWO Million Meter Watch:

Tim with (27,929 m) to go!

Dave with (48,410 m) to go!

Bad!? Gasp ... that's one of my all-time favorite movies! The only reason I haven't watched it recently is that we have a VHS copy and it's too much trouble to bring up the "old technology" to watch it. Maybe I'll put the DVD on my Santa list.

So, Dan, what do you have that's contagious? That inconvenient piggy flu? Get well soon.

Woohoo! Tomo earns his 20K C2 pin!

Post by Kona2 » November 14th, 2009, 8:35 pm

Way to row, Tomo! Now that you've got that 20,000 m on the boards, you can move on to the next big challenge.....40,000 m! The way I read it, though, you have to start counting from zero meters up to the 40K to get the award (although you will be at 60,000 lifetime meters then!

Things to look forward to for some of our waaaay younger crew members: the pin the individual starts with depends upon the age of the young rower at the time he or she starts working towards the awards.
