Congrats to TWO Timbuktooians on getting your new Concept2s! It really helps (along with the team rooms) keep you motivated - and is very handy when we are in competitions and you just need to get that extra few meters in on the erg! Besides, with the price of petrol, you'll probably SAVE money by not having to drive to the health club as often!

Hey Susan

Hi Susan,

Yes, I am from Missouri, too! Born and raised (mostly) in Fulton (my father taught at Westminster College), and lived all over the US (KC, San Diego, Hawaii) and even in Budapest, Hungary for a while, so it's kind of wild to be back in my home state. I met and married a man who was/is living in Rolla, so that is how I ended up here. The last place I lived was in Columbia, MO which is a great town. Very cultured and interesting. Rolla is a bit of a stretch from that, but at least I have ties here!

Good to know you have your own C2 as well! I'm really excited to be getting one!

Take care,

Alison

Missed my row yesterday. I have some chickens and had to clean the coop and do a little remodeling in it, groomed one shih-tzu and did some yard work. My knees were really bothering me from being on my feet all day so decided not to row. I have a doctors appt on Friday to see what is going on. They don't hurt when I row but by the end of the day they were really hurting and stiff and tight so decided not to push it with the rowing. I ordered some Xeno workouts and hope they get here today as I am looking forward to seeing what proper rowing looks like. I promise to get some meters in today.

Susan

How did everyone do on their goals for the month? I didn't quite reach mine. I was hoping to row 320000 meters in both May and June since I'm going to be in Denver for part of July and Cupertino for part of August with no access to a rowing machine in either place. But, considering that I've had an eye infection for the last couple of weeks, I'm pretty satisfied all in all--and I wouldn't have rowed half as much without the existence of this team!

My goals are not what I had hoped for.I have been so busy..we have in the past few months set up 2 businesses of which I am a really integral part.My rowing has been my passion and lately it has had to take a "back seat " at times.I am so upset but am doing the best I can do.I normally row much more than I have been.I do not want to let this team down.We are so spirited and awesome!!I need all of you to motivate me..even if by personal e-mail.I am so impressed by the way this team has come together and stayed together.So..please ..e-mail me..PM me... Tell me I have to go to my gym..DAILY!!!!!!!!!
