I want to thank you guys for all the great suggestions. I got out to Home Depot the today and got those foam mats. They were a great price, $13 for a pack of 4, and they seem to work great. I got two packs and have four tiles under each leg which seems to be some pretty good insulation. So I got in some pretty good rowing tonight with no angry neighbours. Hopefully I'll be able to get back in the swing of things :)

Wild Bill -

Thank you for your advice. I guess I didn't wait long enough on Friday. When I sat down to row this afternoon, the monitor was fine, as if nothing had happened. I guess the batteries did need replacing. Now I know to do it annually on Labor Day.

It's good to be home and back rowing.

Yes Kona2, I am finishing up packing for my canoeing adventure in the Utah Canyonlands desert. And also harvesting out my garden even though there's not been a killing frost yet - but odds are strong that would happen before I get back home. Sure hope the 50 lbs of green paste tomatos I harvested and put in the garage take their time ripening and are in good shape when I get back. The plan is to row tomorrow, then I leave the ship very early on Thursday AM for probably 3 weeks. Desert Moose

Getting Ready for Fall Challenge

Post by Kona2 » September 8th, 2009, 12:34 pm

I haven't posted the weekly comparisons of the 2010 Rowing Season vs 2009 Rowing Season for a few weeks. In the next couple of weeks, we'll start to see a huge shift upward in amounts of meters per week by the team! Always exciting stuff for us !

I got so excited about Akira's first row, that I just had to bake a cupcake!

I know I missed a lot of cupcakes while I was away. So that cupcake is also dedicated to everyone who got a MM mile stone (or any milestone for that matter!) while I was gone :)
