Way to row, team!
Way to row, team!
full moon
Hi All,
wow I should not read about snakes before bed. When i was training for mountain rescue i felt like a snake magnet every time I went out in the forest. Eastern WA is full of rattle snakes, even our highway rest stops have warnings about them.
The snake recipe works well for salmon.
Rowed tonight outside instead of doing the full moon hike we were planning on. There is beautiful hike to do Aug/Sept/Oct full moon near Mt Rainier. Hike an hour or so before moon rise, watch the moon come up through a valley over a lake, walk a hour or so round the rest of the Naches Peak Loop seeing the east side of Rainier lit by moon light. All six of us did is last month -OK Akira was in a backpack with me and Debbie gave Anais and Elias some piggy back rides and I walked an extra 1/2 mile to get the car. But we all made it back to our camp site and it was as beautiful as ever.
I hoped to go tonight with Orion but it was cloudy and had snow predictions which would defeat the moonlit part.

monitor question
when I began my workout Friday, the monitor was only 1/2 legible, blue lines streaked across the top half. I tried changing the battery, but that didn't help. Anyone have any ideas or did the display just go 'bad' on me. I think I rowed about 2500 meters before I gave up, it didn't register on my log card either. I did punch all the buttons thinking some combination might work...all I managed to do was get it to speak German. I finally got back to english.

Re: monitor question
I would try pressing the RESET button.acrewer wrote:when I began my workout Friday, the monitor was only 1/2 legible, blue lines streaked across the top half. On my PM3 one can find this button behind the lower battery in the lower left corner of the battery compartment - it can be seen through a cutout in the plastic housing.
- Remove log card
- Remove batteries
- Press RESET button
- Replace batteries
- Replace log card
At this point the screen should prompt you to enter the language, then the date. This should put you back in business (fingers crossed).
If you have a PM4, there is also a RESET button, but I'm not sure where it is - probably in a similar location.
Good luck!
Edit: Here's a link to the PM3/PM4 User's Manual: http://www.concept2.com/us/support/manu ... Manual.pdf
Look closely at the bottom of Page 6.
Evidently newer (than mine) PM3 and PM4 monitors have the reset button on the outside back of the case - much easier access.
C2 also recommends removing the batteries for 30 minutes in the case of a malfunction.
Good luck!
He's a FOUR million meter man!
