Yepeee!!!. Today is the day. The tracking number says it is in Sylmar but not out for delivery yet. Hope it gets here early so I can put it together and read the manual and get some stats going. Probably won't be much to start with as I want to go slow and really try to learn how to do it right.

Yah-Hoo!!!
I am excited right along with you!!
Having your very own erg is great and for me it has always been the most cherished of all my exercise equipment.
Take anything away but leave my erg!!!
Have fun and can't wait to "see" you on the team..but you are on the team right now in spirit..you definitely have the TimbukTOO spirit!!!

Dragonfly, welcome to the team! I don't know how much reading you've done on the various forums, but a lot of ergers like to pad the rowing machine seat with something. Concept2 will send you a free seat pad if you ask, and a lot of us also find it helpful to put a few layers of bubble wrap down on top of the seat. This is something I wish I'd known when I started erging.
Best of luck,
Lynne

I have the free padded one from Concept2.I am on my second one
They are such a help.I tried other type paddings but for me they compromised my seat position and threw me a bit forward.I have had my share of sore bottom!!
Concept2 is a huge help with all kinds of technique help..here at the site and through literature that they will send you.Even a DVD that goes thru proper form etc.
I am impressed by this company and their dedication to their customers. They have stellar CS!!

Thanks for the tips. I have been reading all the tips and info I can find and yes I did request the seat pad when I ordered. Wasn't free, they charged me $3.00. I will have hubby watch me to see how my form compares to the video. Since his health is bad and he can't do much, I told him I would get him a drum to beat to keep me going LOL.

It's here and put together. Very easy to assemble and I gave it a quick try. It is smooth and quiet with no rattles or unusual sounds. I thought it would be louder but it is quieter than the fan I have running in the room. Now to read the montior info and figure out how to log the workouts on this site.

I just did some rowing. Watched the dvd and rowed along with the form section then rowed for about 20 min. I had rowed on it some earlier so not sure which figure to use. I guess I will use the last one of 20.49. So I will now try and log that in and see what happens. The drag factor was 85 when I checked that out. I moved the damper up to 4 and that gave me 109. I will use that next time as it said it should be between 100 and 140.

I guess I better ask first. Does 3007m sound about right for 20 min. That is the total at the bottom but might be including the few minutes I was missing with it earlier.
